This is Cas dying for Dean.  Again.  When past!Dean says to future!Dean, See, I know your lying expressions, I see them in the mirror.  He’s wrong about one thing.  Cas also knows that future!Dean is lying. Cas knows everything about Dean, he knows Dean’s soul.  He knows.  And he goes anyway.  

Furture Dean (to Cas): Are you coming?   Future!Cas: Of course.    

Dean knows Cas will die for him.  But Dean wants Cas to have the option, even if he knows that Cas won’t take it.  This is Dean killing Cas for Sam.  Again.
